Pampa Fuels, LLC, is planning to build a manufacturing facility in the Pampa Energy Center, located in Pampa, Texas. We will construct and operate a facility that will convert locally abundant natural gas into methanol.

Methanol is an important material used in the manufacturing of other chemicals and as an agent used in drilling for oil and gas. Methanol is a clean, safe, simple alcohol that is used around the world for the production of paints, plastics, silicon chips and other materials. In addition to the methanol plant, the development will include all of the necessary support facilities to produce and ship approximately 65,000 tonnes of product per year.

The project’s economic and job benefits will provide tremendous returns on the community’s early infrastructure planning and investment, and will positively impact the city, the region and every citizen.

Pampa Fuels has sponsored an independent Economic Impact Study. The project will be an economic “game changer” for Pampa, Texas and neighboring communities. The project will have the following impacts on the local economy over the first 10 years:

  • 146 new jobs with $9.685M in annual local payroll
  • $115M in new economic activity
  • $1.4M in new annual tax revenue
  • $4.5M in rent revenue to PEC
  • $75M purchase of locally produced natural gas
  • $3.465M in additional local payroll injection during the construction phase
  • $2M to be spent locally in hotels, restaurants and shops during construction

Pampa Fuels, LLC is a partner with G2XEnergy.

G2X Energy has received the necessary permitting from the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality to allow start of construction. This project is fully funded, with construction scheduled to begin March 2013 and initial operations planned for Q2, 2014.
